Windows 10 removed Mcaffe

Hi we recently purchased a notebook with Mcaffe total protection pre installed. Just upgraded the notebook to windows 10. Now Windows has removed Mcaffe entirely from the notebook saying it is not compatible.

There was no option given to keep or remove the software during the upgrade. Or any warning of non compatibility.

Is the notebook still protected ?

Surely we don't have to purchase the software again ?

We have no records of a Mcaffe account with the notebook

Mcaffe say they cant...
